Plymouth Rounders Club is currently recruiting for the following volunteer positions
The CICs directors are responsible for ensuring that the company meets its statutory and other obligations. As with any other company, the directors of a CIC occupy an important position of trust and general company law imposes on them a range of duties to the company and other responsibilities. In addition to these general responsibilities, CIC directors are also responsible for ensuring that the company is run in such a way that it will continue to satisfy the ‘community interest test’. In practice, this will mean having regard to the interests of the community the CIC is intended to serve. Main Duties
• To submit annual CIC34 form within 9 months of year-end (usually May deadline)
• To submit a confirmation statement (formerly annual return) on time (for the company by endo f August each year)
• To notify all changes of directors’ details within 14 days
• To notify any changes to the governing document within 15 days
• You will be added to the list of Directors on Companies House
Oversees statutory compliance with Companies House. No formal qualifications necessary, legal or financial background desirable.
Main Duties:
• Proofread annual reports before submission to Companies House
• Ensure the Club abides by GDPR on all platforms.
• Organise and take minutes for Annual General Meetings (AGMs)
• Assist Board members in organising social and club events.
Dedicated time: This will vary throughout the year, but not expected to exceed 1-2 days p/year
To manage and update our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Main Duties
• Provide weekly updates on our Instagram account.
• Manage Facebook group membership and guide newcomers to the registration process.
• Keep the pages up to date and engaging.
• Remove members from FB group if inactive for 1 year.
• Consistent use of the PRC brand using Canva (or similar).
Dedicated time: ~ 1 hour per week
We require as many Board Members who are interested in shaping the future of PRC.
Main Duties
• Will vote on decisions on behalf of the club.
• Assist the Secretary in organising AGMs.
• Assist in organising club tournaments and social events.
• Provide feedback to the directors on club matters/concerns.
• Hold Directors accountable to their statutory duties.
• Attend and contribute to meetings (most likely once a year).
• Assist the Directors in finding and voting on suitable venues (both indoor and outdoor).
Dedicated time: The time required by members will be on an ‘as and when’ basis. AGM will be once a year.
Currently, the sessions are run by 2 people, Sophie and Helen. This can become quite a task for the 2 of us, and if illness or absences get in the way, then it puts extra strain on the other. Therefore, we’re looking for people willing to help run the sessions. You don’t have to be an expert, but a sound knowledge of the rules and pitch layout is required.
Main Duties
• Assist with taking equipment to and from the locations.
• Manage attendees into teams.
• Umpiring duties, keeping score and keeping time.
• Gather POTM votes
Dedicated time: Weekly input on a rota basis (e.g. if we had 4 coaches, you would be required to help fortnightly or fill in ‘as and when’. We break between August and October, then February and May each year in between seasonal sessions. Approx. 1-2 hours weekly.
